I have a 2007 Audi A3 that I've put extensive time and money in maintaining. The dealership advised that they no longer serviced vehicles of that age, but thankfully a service representative referred me to Southside Autowerks.The folks at Southside are so friendly, and Grant, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable. You show up for your appointment and Grant gets you in and out.Also, their rates are fair and very reasonable!I am 1000 percent pleased, and they have a new customer for life!

As a VW owner, you need to find a good independent shop that specializes in the brandz especially when out of warranty.Fortunately there are a few really good shops in GA. Ill likely give a similar review to 1 other shop.This shop is one of the best in the Southeast and easily worth the 40 miles I have to drive to visit.Grant is called "the wizard" and it's well deserved. His rates are fair when you consider he is a guru level master tech.Highly recommend bringing your VW/Audi here.

I can't say enough about this business! I brought my VW in to get quote for leaking coolant/water pump issue and Jamie at the front desk was incredibly nice and spoke to owner Grant who looked up my VIN # and advised me that my car is covered by a recall warrantee and I could get it fixed by VW dealer at no cost! They even recommended service advisor and mechanic to ask for! WOW! You will never find more friendly and knowledgable auto repair people on the planet. Thank you Jamie and Grant!

I was referred by a mutual friend to Southside Autowerks, who insisted they were the best .... he was not wrong! I went in to have my 2015 A4 55k inspection. I was met by both Grant and Jamie upon my arrival. Both were very friendly and professional. Office is clean and inviting. Grant spoke with me numerous times during the inspection to ensure I was aware of what I would be needing in coming months (tire tread status, brake pad condition, brake fluid water %). I was very pleased with my experience and would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone! Worth the hour drive 100%!

Grant is phenomenal! He helped fix an oil leak on my Volkswagen Atlas, he was quick, he explained what happened & how he fixed it. He was honest about what was needed or what I did not need. The waiting area is neat, clean & comfortable. Definitely will be going back for any future services!

This is not a review that I am writing lightly, and I believe a huge recognition is in order for Grant at Southside Autowerks for doing an OUTSTANDING job working on my 2016 Audi S4. I had a long laundry list of maintenance done to my car, plus had a few aftermarket upgrades installed. If you ever find yourself looking for a great shop to use and a mechanic that thoroughly knows their stuff about VW/Audi, Southside Autowerks is certainly the place you should take your vehicle. I am thoroughly pleased with how my car was taken care of, how well it is now performing, and how valued I feel as a customer. It's absolutely safe to say that I have a new favorite/home shop that I will always be using from this point forward.

We made an appointment to get my tail lights fixed. They were out on the right side.I had replaced the bulb myself,but still was not working. He brought out his computer and cleared the codes, and replaced the bulbs and we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. The best part was,he did not charge us a dime! Very professional will definitely use again in the future.

I’d like to take a moment to thank Grant and Southside Autowerks for their impeccable customer and mechanical service. Multiple shops over quoted labor and would not properly adjust for overlap (Carbon clean, Water pump, thermostat, PCV). Grant took care of me with honesty, the highest professionalism, and even gifted me an awesome upgrade! If you can make it down to Newnan it’s definitely worth it to go see Southside!

Grant at Southside Autowerks does top-notch work at a reasonable price! Based on numerous recommendations from the Four Rings ATL Facebook group, I made an appointment with Southside Autowerks to get H&R Sport lowering springs installed on my 2013 Audi RS5. When I arrived, Grant came out and welcomed me, immediately started examining my car to see if there would be any rubbing issues (which I voiced as a concern when making the appointment), and walked me through what he was seeing. Both he and the receptionist were very friendly and the waiting room was nice and air-conditioned with a TV and free drinks. The job took about 3 hours (which is what they told me it would take) and the end result is exactly what I wanted. You can tell that Grant is a first-class mechanic with great attention to detail. I highly recommend Southside Autowerks for any Audi RS owners looking to get some suspension work done.

Found them on the internet after visiting 2 VW dealers in the past 4 months —- now I will never need to go back to VW again!🥳. Certainly did an efficient job for me. I was told they could diagnose my 2014 Tiguan issue in 30 minutes. I made the appt and it took them 25! Diagnosed, fixed, done, with 5 minutes to spare. I have found my “go to” VW urgent care!

Stop looking for a VW/Audi shop. This is the one. Grant is everything most mechanics are not. Honesty and transparency are the 2 big ones for me. Never a concern of being taken advantage of. Grant will tell you how it is and not try to get an extra dollar. The guy is a wizard when it comes to these cars, extremely knowledgeable. Professionalism, integrity, honesty and fair are just a few attributes on what makes Southside Autowerks the go-to.

I had a great time at my appointment! Grant is an awesome mechanic. I purchased my Audi A5 3 years ago and have been getting it serviced at a Volkswagen dealership in Columbus. I started having check engine light problems and I took to back to Volkswagen. I watched them look at my car for 10 mins and then drop it and I waited another hour afterwards. Only for the mechanic to tell the service advisor that I had a bad turbo. The estimated price was about $2000, me losing all hope I was about to try to trade in my car for a new one and someone referred Grant to me. So, I decided to get a second opinion. Grant was on it right away he diagnosed the problem and set me up an appointment to fix it. I had an intake leak and my car was consuming a lot of oil. He not only realized that I had the wrong pcv vavle for my car which was manufactured in china but he also found that I had a hose that was not properly secured! That the mechanic from Volkswagen completely missed, now I am also getting a refund back from Volkswagen and Grant also gave me a fantastic price. I couldn’t be more thankful especially with Christmas coming soon. I would definitely recommend anyone with an Audi/Volkswagen to check out Grant’s shop!

I drive the ~40 miles down to Southside Autowerks despite having 4 well-respected Euro shops within a 15 min drive of my house. That's because Grant might be the best VW/Audi mechanic on the East Coast, and certainly in the Atlanta metro. He's always professional, efficient and detail-oriented. I watched him double check every torque spec for the work he was doing on my car. It's that level of detail that lets me know my car is in good hands. Oh, and his prices are very reasonable. He really is that unicorn of a mechanic, being affordable, honest and highly skilled in his work.

Highly recommended, I had to replace the clutch in my GTI after an APR tune and Grant excitedly poured his experience on me from the first phone call, helping me pick out the right replacement and getting it ordered for me. Not only does he know the ins and outs of VW/Audis but he is happy to share his knowledge, show you his work every step of the way and is reasonably priced. I have to drive an hour to get to his shop and will do it again in a heartbeat.

Wow, is all I can say. Grant and his team are nothing short of AMAZING. My husband is away at basic military training, and needless to say it can be stressful at times. Having to pick up all of the responsibilities that he left off, all I can say is is that Grant and his team literally lifted that burden off of my shoulders and was so professional and nice they helped me with every issue I came across and made it that much more smooth for me to handle what I needed to handle. I can't even say customer service, HOSPITALITY is the word that comes to mind, these people are amazing and have beautiful spirits and it shows in their work ethic and their hospitality. I can honestly say I have never received service like this at a mechanic shop lol, I would even go so far as to say they are the best in the city or the state for what they do. Thank you! Best prices in town, owner is very knowledgeable. He is very detailed and he explained the whole process from beginning to end. My car had the famous cold start issue that happens to the vw 2.0 turbo, because of the carbon build up. He let me take pictures of the issue of my car. The dealer wanted $900 to fix the car. He actually Walnut blasted the carbon off my valves The dealer would only use a chemical which would not give the same result. No more check engine light (because of misfires). He even topped off my fluids as in antifreeze and windshield wiper fluid. It's the small things that make a big difference in customer service. I highly recommend this shop. I plan on using this shop for all my needs for my 2013 Jetta GLI.

Grant is hands down the best mechanic there is for Audi/VW. I came here last week for a post-purchase inspection on a new used car and he took his time looking at every component on the car. I drive an hour just to see him.He also answered questions regarding upcoming maintenance that he recommends. He's VERY detailed and knowledgeable when explaining everything and how it works. A lot of mechanics out there will tell you something needs to be replaced when it doesn't but Grant is a down to earth type of guy who genuinely wants to help you get what you need done on your vehicle. Highly recommend.

I have been communicating with Grant over the past few weeks about bring my car in for a few upgrades, he has been so great in answering my questions and being responsive and polite. I haven’t taken my car into the shop yet for the work but he has already earned my business! I can tell that my vehicle will be in the best hands and I’m so glad to have found Southside Autowerks!! Grant did an amazing job on my Audi everything is perfect with it! Best part is after all the work was done you can’t even tell it was touched! Not a single fingerprint on the entire car. My experience was good. I have been searching for a new permanent mechanic and had my car towed. My car was diagnosed and repaired in an extremely timely fashion at a very fair price. The fact performance work is offered is also a plus since the garage I had been using does OEM repairs only. I plan on returning soon, as well as often and making my car not only reliable transportation, but fun at the same time. I very well may have just found a new permanent wrench man...
